Lawyer Yang Wuquan was invited to give a special lecture to the Longtang Village (Residential) Committee of Shishan Town (Street), Nanhai District, Foshan City

On November 18, 2024, the Longtang Village (Neighborhood) Committee of Shishan Town (Street), Nanhai District, Foshan City invited Lawyer Yang Wuquan from Guangdong Denghu Law Firm to give a special lecture on strengthening legal risk prevention in rural collective asset management for village (neighborhood) committee staff.

Firstly, Lawyer Yang Wuquan introduced the significant importance of rural collective assets. Rural collective assets include natural resources such as land, forests, and water bodies, as well as collective enterprises, fixed assets, and current assets, which are important material foundations for achieving rural revitalization, promoting rural economic development, and safeguarding farmers' rights and interests.

Subsequently, Lawyer Yang Wuquan summarized the main legal risks faced by rural collective asset management, including three aspects, as follows:

1. The risk of asset loss includes illegal occupation, low-priced transfer, and non-standard contracts.

2. Decision risks include a lack of democratic procedures and a lack of professional knowledge in rural collective asset management.

3. Legal dispute risks, including contract disputes, infringement disputes, etc.

Finally, Lawyer Yang Wuquan put forward suggestions on how to strengthen the legal risk prevention of rural collective asset management from five aspects: improving management systems, standardizing decision-making procedures, strengthening contract management, enhancing legal awareness, and strengthening supervision mechanisms. The village (residential) committee staff present all felt that they had benefited greatly.
